Great South Bay Brewery is the first restaurant to open at the new Station Yards multiuse development in Ronkonkoma. The huge tasting room-eatery debuted Oct. 11 with 8,400 square feet and a 355-seat capacity.
This is the second huge opening for Great South Bay this year. In April, the Bay Shore-based company transformed the long-vacant First Bank of Lindenhurst into its first non-brewery-adjacent venue.
The Ronkonkoma location has a more straightforward layout than the old bank, whose dining/drinking areas sprawl over three levels. Here, there’s one gigantic room with a gigantic bar, and a smaller room that can also function as a private space.
