Fresh, nutritious and inspired by coastal living.

That’s the idea behind Playa Bowls, which the company bills as “the nation’s leading superfruit bowl shop.”

Playa Bowls, which specializes in acai bowls, smoothies and juices, counts over 200 locations nationwide, including four already on Long Island: Merrick, Long Beach, Lawrence and Miller Place.

The next one on tap for Suffolk County will open this spring at Ronkonkoma’s Station Yards.

“We are so thankful that Playa Bowls chose Station Yards as their home,” said Meaghan Coughlan Treat of Tritec Real Estate, the developers of Station Yards. “They bring a delicious and healthy option to our community, representing a lifestyle, energy, and appeal that helps Station Yards grow as an extraordinary destination.”

Playa Bowls will open in the courtyard, called The Village Green, within the massive, mixed-use complex that’s still being built up with another phase, all across from the Ronkonkoma train station.

The address is 9 Hawkins Avenue, in corner Suite 3101.

Property reps were joined by the Playa Bowls Ronkonkoma owners, Gary Yip and Victoria Yip, to mark the deal.

“We are excited to join the Ronkonkoma and Station Yards community,” the Playa Bowls location owners said in a joint statement. “We are committed to serving the freshest acai bowls, smoothies, and juices.

“We look forward to becoming a part of Ronkonkoma and being a positive addition to this area!”
